For example, there is one woman who plants a garden in the lot. Hello, I am looking for a young adult fiction book that featured a red cover with elastic closure. The book was about a young man looking for his father with the d of a young woman. The book featured maps, illustrations, ticket stubs and drawings in a rustic manner. It was set in the past and included sea travel. The name or author would be greatly appreciated.
The book was about a young man looking for his father with the add of a young woman. Looking for an adult title. This book takes place during the 's and is about a black girl who moved to England to be a server at a home. All I know is the title has the word "house" in it. Thanks for your help. Maybe a quote from isaiah?
Looking for a childbirth book I had in the seventies. It was a large softcover featuring an "earthy" couple and their children. A baby was on its father's shoulders. The book featured detailed stories of various births; natural, at home, in water, induced, c section etc. It may have been titled "Birth". Im trying to find a vinyl children's book named, I am a little fish, by I. Do you know where I may be able to find one of these books? Thank you, Tracie. Looking for a children's book I believe from the 90s, big and has blue cover with a huge sun on the cover and it's about a vagabond.
I've been searching for years. I am trying to remember a book I read about two girls that lived together and something strange happens to them Looking for a childrens read along book that came with a cassette tape. Qas called the glass heart maybe? About a brother and sister and the one broke their heart and the other lent the sibling theirs. They wear ack hoodies and I think people have different jobs, but the main character works in collecting the souls.
Looking for a YA horror book I read in my teens. It might have been released in the early to mid s. I bigger book. Had a really creepy cover. There was a group of teens in it who were killed off brutally by a supernatural thing. I'm pretty sure it was a witch? There was a really gruesome scene with a car crash in the woods. It happened in a cabin maybe? The places aren't named but gives descriptions of how the people lived and dressed etc Very colorful yet simple pictures.
Author and as told by are cited. IThe child experiences diverse cultures all living peacefully. I loaned this beloved book to a small school for a special program and it was never returned. I want to replace it as a surprise for my now adult child as he was discussing it as a favorite just days ago. Thank you. Trying to find a book that has got to do with teenagers and them having some magical abilities. The main character I think has the magical ability of darkness or night, I can't really remember.
Please please please help! I have been looking for this book for close to 20 years. I read it as a teenager in the 90's. It's not a Sweet Valley High book. The book is about two young teenage girls and each year their family's vacation at beach and their vacation homes are next to each other. The girls are best friends and always look forward to see eaching other.
The book is about the summer where one of the girls is growing up quicker than the other and she falls in love with a boy and the other girl feels left out. That's all I can remember. I just know I read that book so many times as a kid and for some reason I can't remember the title. If anyone can help please email at katieabshire hotmail. Thank you in advance! Looking for a children's book from the 80's or 90's about a little girl who thinks the moon fell from the sky. Once outside she discovers it's a dirty piece of metal.
I think the book came from Discovery Toys. I am looking for a book, children's. Two troll looking characters. One can only look down, he is hunched over and one can only look up. They live outside and the story takes place on a hill. I want to say the names are Igor and Ingor. This is a long shot, but I'm looking for a book that I read as a child over ten years ago. It was an illustrated book about two siblings who lived in a neighborhood.
They are warned about this ice cream man? So kind of like hensel and grettle. Their grandma tells them to stop eating sweets from this guy who's head is in the shape of a round flat cookie like way and his skin tone isn't that of any regular person but they don't listen. They eventually get fatter because they keep eating his sweets. In the end they stop and he leaves their neighborhood and the book ends with the author telling the reader to be careful because he could come to a neighborhood near you or even your neighborhood.
I've been going crazy trying to find this book. My email is coralrojas gmail. The book I am looking for is one where 4 kids go on a school trip, get struck by lightning then get weird powers. I'm trying to find this book I read as a teen. It was about a girl who was a queen or a hidden princess don't really remember that everyone feared because her power were so strong and dangerous until they got to know her. But they were afraid because of her powers she controls winter or ice and where they live its always cold however not sure whether if it was because of her powers or just regular weather.
Also war was coming and she would become there greatest weapon against the enemy. I also remember of her having a set back with her powers when she would use to much she will pass out and just sleep for a very long time. But that was like a thing that happened with everyone when they use there powers they don't know what there limited is or if they had any restrictions.

Don't really remember anything else but just cant get the story out of my head and want to read it again. The book I am looking for is a science fiction short story. A man comes across an alien which then lives inside him and keeps him alive no matter what the injury. At one point the man is supposedly killed by being shot? I am trying to remember the name of an illustrated book I had as a child in the early s. I vaguely remember that it featured traditional Russian architecture. I don't remember the plot other than I think a guy in a Russian hat gets swallowed whole by an alligator or crocodile?
I know it's not much to go on, but it popped into my mind and now it is making me crazy. I must have read the book a hundred times as a kid. I am looking for a book that I read about 10 years ago. It's about a woman who loves this book she is reading and loves the male protagonist of the story. The book she is reading is a tragic story that follows the protagonist, I believe his name was Alexander, who is on a hunt to kill the vampire that murdered his family. The book she is reading ended on a cliffhanger and she is upset about this.
She then suddenly sees the character Alexander real life and in the flesh, and also some other characters come into the real world including the vampire that killed his family. I am trying to find the book that I read years ago where the character's name was Rachel. Rachel had run away from home because her father was abusing her, later upon which she found out she was a twin and her mother gave her sister away. In the meantime, she was picked up by this character named Annie who was using her by placing her in a brothel and taking her money while he went to school.
In the end Rachel became pregnant, and Danny made her get rid of it, watching the abortion making Rachel sterile Rachel became angry move to Hollywood became a waitress at this restaurant changed her name to Beverly. Because Rachel was homely she saved up her money and went and had plastic surgery done. Rachel van became wealthy because the owners of the restaurant left all of their belongings to her all the wild Rachel had been looking for both her mother and her adoptive sister whose name was later revealed to to be Christine Singleton.
Beverly then set up Danny for all of the wrongdoing he had done oh, by the way being a religious fanatic that he was and misleading people, to what she was arrested and he later attempted to hang himself which he botched. This was revealed in the second book which I believe was entitled Stars and it further in the second book explained Christine Singleton backstory. Can anyone tell me the title of these books? I'm trying to find a book. I believe the title was "Mother". I didn't get a chance to read it, but what I do remember reading from the back was that it was a story about a woman who had lost her mother, sometime after, like a year maybe or more, she walks into a cafe or coffee shop.
I could be wrong on the place but it was some type of shop. The surroundings brought her to tears thinking about her mom. Later, the young girl loses her mom in a car accident and the other lady becomes the shoulder to cry on. They handle it differently. One wants to reach her mother from the other side and one never even dreamt of doing something like that. If anyone could help that would be great. Thank you so much! I read a book over 50 years ago about 2 stranded children - a boy and a girl - can't remember if they survived a plane crash?
It's driving me crazy because I remember it being a great read and would like to read it again. I am trying to find a true crime book all i know is that it starts with the letter "p" and it has a picture of a guy with tattoos on the cover of the book. I'm trying to find a fantasy book series that involves three gods. One is a god of the land calles the master of beasts, one is a gos of the sea, and I can't remember what the third god is a god of. There's also a fourth god who isn't seen until the final book, but we get small details about him throughout the series.
I realize that isn't much information to go on, but it's the best I can do. Okay so I read this book quite a while ago but if remember correctly the book was a love story. The main male character had an illness of some sort that was slowly killing him. He died in or near a tree maybe suicide??? The story was set near a beach. I read this one book about a girl who was in the car with her dad then they had to pull of the road and her dad got out to check something then when her dad was out of the car for a while she went out and she couldnt see anything then she saw a figure of a man and he was holding her dads head.
Then her dad and her arrived at the beach house and a bunch of crazy stuff went on and she started to get suspious when a girl vanished and no one remembered. So she started to investigate and then she saw her killer again and the people with the bracelts explained everything. I believe it was a newly-published book at that time. A very moving, poignant, somewhat gritty story about an African-American woman, a male boy or teen who may have also been African-American, an adoption theme perhaps, with a back story that I believe linked the two of them.
It took place in contemporaneous times. All I can remember about this book was that there was a blind female prophet who sang They remember the big bang and are headed for the 'light' they saw. One nuclear warhead whizzing along course through a city street dreams he is a taxi It was kewl. For some reason I have it in my head that it was called 'the day after tomorrow ' but I don't think so now that I've searched. Its probably close tho! I'm sookestommi yahoo. It's a gift for a friend who cannot find it. Romance book 's written about couple on Gun Lake, Mi. Please help! I'm looking for a book about a boy who goes to a woman and gets immune to death and pain, but then he regrets it.
He goes to find a cure, I think in Hawaii and meets a girl that would help him find the cure. I never really finished it, but now I'm interested. I am looking for a book, its a teen, I think, book. It's about a boy who goes to this woman and gives him immunity to death and pain, but at a certain point, he regrets his decision. He goes to look for a cure, I think in Hawaii, but ends up meeting a girl that helps him find the cure.
I think the girl was working at a resort. I remember a children's book about an astronaut that landed on Mars or the moon and met an alien, he wanted to catch and sell the alien to make lots of money and plates hide and seek with it. The alien catches the astronaut and locks him in a zoo. I don't know the author or book name tho. I'm looking for a children's book about a bird who flies she may have been called She Who Flies and is injured. Her painful lament about not being able to fly anymore teaches her to sing and she becomes known for her beautiful song and may have become She Who Sings.
I'm looking for a children's book about a bird who loves to fly her name might have been She Who Flies and gets injured so she can no longer fly. Then the next book he gets a little sister.
I am looking for some books from the 90's I believe. They were romances and as the story went along the lovers would argue and then in the end they got together. At the very end of the books a second couple I can't remember if they were angles or ghosts would meet and discuss how that romance almost got away from them so you realized that they were matchmakers.
I have searched and searched but can't remember author or titles of the books. I would love to read them again. Hi i'm Mark! I'm looking for a Hide and seek book style! I think There is a dragon and a big treasure on the cover! The book was not Childish but more for teenager! Plot: campers are attacked in nearby woods by an beast of some kind. What is this enigmatic book?????? I read a book many years ago about a prostitute who falls in love. It's about this boy who drinks some water an old man gives him from an empty well in the back of his property and he gets really sick. When he gets better, he can suddenly see these weird like reaper things that attache themselves to people through wires and chains. The reaper things have scares on them with the names like "anger" and "suicide" and stuff.
After he goes crazy for a little longer, he tells a Christian girl everything he sees, and she ends up drinking the water. For whatever reason, when two other boys drank the water, they died. The main character is a guy and the book is centered around him with a guy best friend and another girl he likes. And the main character has to pretend he is. Anne Boleyn is very jealous. What is the name of this book?? It must have been a fairly known author as most of my books were. Looking for a murder thriller novel about a murder of man. First chapter is about a monk who steals a religious artefact - the letter from Christ from the Vatican to save it from being destroyed. Then in the present day a man is murdered in his study.
His wife with dementia is blamed and arrested with the motive of finding out he was having an affair with a colleague called Lily I think. His daughter and neighbours who is a lawyer work to free her mother and find out who the real murder is. They realise he was murdered because he had the religious artefact and had told his 4 closest friends about it- giving it to lily to keep safe. Lily speaks to an unknown person who wants her to sell it to him but in stead he kidnaps her and locks her in a room in his warehouse.
During the murder the neighbours were on a cruise and a burglar who had fitted their car with a tracking device was in the house and saw the man who actually murdered him. He used this a bargain to get less time when he was arrested for burglary. It turns out to be Charles the mans friend who has kidnapped lily and the daughter who he loved.
He murdered the man because he wanted to return it to the Vatican but Charles wanted it for his collection. The boy used to sneak into her room at night and I remember one night he caught her wearing his football jersey. I am looking for a book that I read as a teen.
Earth had been invaded by alien creatures who took people as slaves. The main character was a boy who was training as a boxer to win a contest. The winner got the privilege to become slave to these creatures. He was supposed to learn about them. I believe he escaped at the end. I believe it was part of a series. Keep in mind though I read it a long time ago. If anyone knows the name please let me know. I'm looking for a book from , most likely from , about decorating with collections. Non-fiction, hard-back, photos depicting treasures and collections and rooms with displayed collections on the cover.
In the early 70's I lived in Anderson, Indiana and there was a bookmobile that came around our neighborhood when I was around I had a great deal of interest in it and would like to find it. I'm not sure of the author, but I don't remember seeing "Home and Garden" or "House Beautiful" titles on the book.
She goes out and trips on a mud puddle. Anyone know the name? Fiction book, from the late 80s or early 90s. About a pair of step siblings who have a secret affair of hook ups. Each chapter changes to their point of view. They began having an affair after their parents wedding. They carry on, off and on throughout the year. Later it turns out that their parents are breaking up because the husband is cheating with another woman. Somewhere in the middle of the book, the young girl is in a play and the boy gives a white rose after the show, which she finds sweet.
But after he bluntly says that the lead actress was better, to which she is offended. The book has a blue cover and has an elephant on it and a girl feeding it buns. One of the stories is about this escaped elephant and the girl uses a trail of buns to lure it home. There is also another story about a boy who leaves his Scout meeting in the evening to go home but gets lost in the fog.
In my s elementary school library, science fiction. Boy living with his uncle? On a hillside in remote Montana? Curious, he runs to see. Something scary emerges. Oh no! Taken up. Actually they are very kind and advanced and they have children his age. He now has friends. They are all doing fine, but the horse gets sick! We will take you back to the ranch to heal your horse, but you will never see us again.
Big inner emotional conflict. Goodbye friends. Drop him off. Uncle has left died? Horse dies. All alone. But wait And you can come back to the stars with us. The emotional intensity of this simplistic and manipulative space saga made me physically ill for days. They become friends despite their differences. The boy helps the angel get better.

There was this crazy book I read last year about a girl who had a perfect life. She was in band, had great grades, and a perfect boyfriend. But her world was turned upside down when she found out she had absorbed her twin in the womb.
She realized her twin was completely opposite of her, and would take over her consciousness at night to hook up with the bad boy. Eventually she started leaving notes for the perfect twin to find in the morning. After many other crazy things happen, we find out the character has a heart problem, which she blames on her sister's heart being weak, and she ends up going to the hospital to get a new heart. Does this help anyone? I'm dying to find this book again.
This book was along the lines of something by Judy Blume or Beverly Cleary. About a young boy who started out as a pain but who grew up. I specifically remember him coming home from school to an empty house, practicing his trombone, then having an afterschool snack which was portion controlled because he was pudgy and wanted to lose weight. I think he had trouble making friends, and that his mom being at work rather than home with him was a new thing. One specific event is when the teen boy is dared to eat a scorpion, and he does, but the scorpion turns out to be an energy bar of sorts, as the scorpion was an illusion.

It was a soft back book. I'm have been trying to remember a book for about 10 years now. When I was in the 6 grade their was a book I read about a young boy was playing outside then he is sucked up in a storm and is transferred to a different world where he lands in a red barren land and eventually finds trees and food.
Basically he is surviving in this new world trying to go back. It's one of those books where your memory even remembers the smell of the library and the book. Its almost like a kid version of John Carter. Nelsongllrd yahoo. Form their own housecleaning business. One has a child and wants to be an artist; she cleans for an artist. One sister was convicted of murdering her rapist and the other was considered mad. The story tells of each sister's journey back to each other. I've been searching for what feels like forever.
I thought it was called Under a Southern Sky. The title may be similar. Any input would be appreciated. It had like a blue person on the cover and was all blue hardcover. The story was based in a little bit older times like early England kings and Queens and the characters were likable and interesting as the story goes on the main guy is confronted with basically himself who is an evil version of himself and he chases him into alternate realities.
It was something like spiral or ugh on the tip of my brain but can't remember. This was a book I read as a child, and was a seed in me developing my faith. Talking late 70's, early 80's. It concerned a boy who goes to a Christian youth group. His parents are splitting up. I remember him staying off school, been able to have a bed on the sofa, watch tv and having ice cream because he had a sore throat. The youth leader spoke about our body been like glove, and when you take your hand out of the glove then it's empty, illustrating the soul. He gave another talk about prayer, holding up a telephone which wasn't connected, this made the kids laugh.
The boy went to a safari park with his dad, on one of the days when he was allowed to see him. I would of enjoyed reading more about all the others, but it was great to see there could be more to come. This book is about Chet Sloan, football coach, and Bobby Ray, incoming football player in his senior year. There is not just history between the two men but feelings for each other. If you loved the other sto I have to say it was a great read; I love Carol Lynne's books.
If you loved the other stories in this series you will enjoy this one. Aug 01, Ashley rated it really liked it Shelves: m-m. Glad to see that Mrs. Lynne is continuing the Campus Cravings Series and I look forward to this new arc. I really enjoyed this new installment and hoping fingers crossed that the next book deals with Dane or perhaps Chase … :D. Cannot say enough good things. I love anything Carol Lynne writes. Aug 28, Jes Jester rated it really liked it. This series is more interesting to me than the CV series. Don't get me wrong, this author is a talented writer, but the stories just don't have enough angst for my tastes. Things come together a bit too easy for me to get overly involved and invested in the characters. There is conflict, but after the initial fight between characters, the 'LOVE' word comes out pretty quick. Still, the love stories are good for easy reading. Bobby Ray Sikes, the object of his desire, happens to be a young man he's supposed to be mentoring, not lusting after. To make matters worse, Bobby Ray's family admires and trusts him which only exacerbates his feelings of guilt and betrayal. When Chet realizes that his admiration for Bobby Ray has turned into feelings of love and lust, he is overwhelmed by the inappropriateness of the situation and rather than facing his fears, runs away from them, causing a plethora of tangled emotions for both him and Bobby Ray.
I wasn't sure that I liked Chet at first because of the emotional destruction his avoidance caused, but when I started to think about it, there truly was no easy answer for his situation and in his ass backwards manner, he tried to do what he thought was best for Bobby Ray. Unfortunately, a lot of this pain and confusion could have been avoided if he'd just been honest with himself and Bobby Ray about his feelings; I also realize that's something easier said than done.
As the story progressed I began to realize that he really does feel love and not only lust for Bobby. They truly are soul mates. When they finally do come together, they love each other with such a great deal of passion that I couldn't resist cheering for them. I have to give Chet credit. Even though he doesn't always succeed, Chet tries hard to respect Bobby Ray's feelings and be open with him. Bobby Ray has become one of my favorite Carol Lynne characters. I adore him. He suffers a lot because of his feelings for Chet, yet he's strong.
When he sets his mind on something and knows he's doing what's right for him, nothing can change it. He's quite admirable in his sense of fairness and knowing what's right and wrong. In many ways, he knows himself far better than Chet who is ten years older and supposedly wiser. He knows he's in love with Chet and is able to stand up to him and fight for what he believes in. Bobby Ray is able to present a solid argument for why they should be together and convinces Chet that it's what's best for them, regardless of age or status. He's also brave enough to call Chet on it when he reneges on their agreement.
I love the way Bobby Ray treats people. He's so fair and honest with them. He sees into a person's heart and instinctively knows what to say and do. I enjoyed 'Incoming Freshman'. There are not only a lot of sexy men and hot, passionate encounters in the story, but there are also several life lessons. Such as the importance of learning to communicate effectively, to be true to yourself, to believe in your dreams, and regardless of adversity, love will find a way.
I'd definitely recommend this story, not only to other Carol Lynne fans, but to anyone who enjoys a passionate love story which ends happily. Jul 07, Serena Yates rated it liked it Shelves: gay. It has been quite a while since I read a 'Campus Cravings' book, and it was almost like coming home when I started this one. Many of the previous books' characters are back, but the focus is on Chet, a football coach, and Bobby, the student who scared Chet into running away three years ago.

Of course, it's more complicated than that, but the basic problem is that Chet as the much older man is scared to admit he has feelings for someone who isn't just much younger, but whom he is supposed to coach as well. Bobby is determined to make things or with the man he fell in love with when he was eighteen and still in high school. Chet was supposed to coach him in college - but when Bobby arrived, Chet had vanished. Of course this hurt Bobby deeply, all the more because his father died two years later and Bobby could have really done with some support.
Not having any friends at a college he only went to so he could be with Chet was hard. Now he's figured out a way to transfer to Chet's current college in Idaho, and he is determined to make it work. Chet is an interesting man. Yes, he has all the hangups about being so much older than Bobby, but on top of that his mother was much younger than his father and left them when Chet was a young kid - because she had "changed her mind" and wasn't ready to settle down.
It's still not a really good reason for Chet to ignore his own feelings, but fear like that will make people do strange things. Now that Bobby has made his intentions more than clear, Chet has to face the truth. Coaching someone and being his boyfriend at the same time isn't easy, so Chet has his work cut out for him. Jul 30, Pam rated it really liked it Shelves: contemporary , m-m-romance , own. I was thrilled to learn Ms. Lynn had decided to resume the Campus Cravings series, and this newest release is a worthy addition to the family of books. I liked Chet before. He's a good guy. Kind, responsible and caring and his inability to express his feeling to the much younger Bobby aren't unexpected.
He's the kind of man who doesn't take advantage of others and the differences in their ages makes him feel like some kind of perv. Lynne did a nice job getting his over these feelings, letting I was thrilled to learn Ms. Lynne did a nice job getting his over these feelings, letting Bobby convince him of the seriousness of his own emotions.
They get well. I loved seeing many of the characters from the previous set of books, and how Bobby interacted with them. They played important, if small roles, and if expect to see more of them in the future. Then there was Dane, Bobby's new roomie. This shy guy is interesting and I want to know more about him and the older professor he's crazy about. I hope Ms. Lynne concentrates on them in a future release.
Overall, the is good beginning to what I hope will be another long run of books. Can you say another ten or maybe even twenty. Hint, Ms. Jul 21, Melissa rated it really liked it Shelves: m-m , age-gap , hot-sports-dudes. For a book that almost wasn't written, this is great. There is a history between them and even though there is 14 years difference separating them, Bobby hopes to prove to Chet that he's grown up and can handle a relationship.

Older MC is scared of a relationship with o This book was pretty good. Older MC is scared of a relationship with other MC and runs and younger MC must try to seduce him which takes all of about 2 paragraphs. So this book was okay, but the series is getting a little formulaic and I wish that it had ended with book 12, which so far is the best in the series in my opinion.
Jul 24, MsMiz Tina rated it it was ok Shelves: glbt-all , pdf. It is a personal thing about how fast this book went, Chet he has always rubbed me the wrong way and just how things happened in this book. It felt like this was a bridge book to introduce new characters - which is great - don't get me wrong. I do enjoy this series and hope that it continues. Aug 12, Byron rated it it was amazing Shelves: romance , m-m-read. This book is part of a series from Carol.
Fortunately I don't think you need to have read the previous books to really get into the story. Characters are well written. Plot flows. A beautifully constructed story as always. I suspect that this might be the start of some more stories for the Campus Cravings series. I hope anyway! Jul 07, Eyre rated it liked it Shelves: romance , lgbt. I enjoyed this series and was happy to get to revisit it with a new addition. I had a few niggles, such as Bobby's dad being called Martin, Earl, and Bob.
I guess that was an editing issue. Despite the inconsistency, it was a quick, sweet read.
